Where do you teach?

I teach at my home in Weston (ST18) or travel to your home.

What areas do you travel to?

I cover Stafford and surrounding areas.

Do you teach during the school holidays?

No, my lessons run during the term-time. 

What hours are you available?

I offer daytime slots between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.

What instruments do you teach?

I offer individual lessons for both Piano and Violin.

Do we need to own an instrument before our first lesson?

Yes, your child will need a piano/keyboard or a correctly sized violin to practise on.

Can you advise the right size violin for my child?

Yes, I can advise the appropriate sized violin to purchase based on their size.

How much do lessons cost?

My current rate is £16 for 30 minutes. I offer a half price introductory lesson for £8.

Is there a travel fee for home visits?

A travel fee of 45p per mile will apply.

How do I pay for lessons?

Payments are made via bank transfer.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes, I hold a current, Enhanced DBS check.

Do I need to stay in the room during the lesson?

Parents are very welcome to sit in if they wish.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes

Are you a registered member of a professional body?

Yes, I am a member of the Independent Society of Musicians (ISM), the UK's professional body for musicians.
