Lesson Policy

Introductory Lesson 

The first lesson is offered at a half-price introductory rate. This is a one-off payment and gives us a chance to get to know each other and make sure lessons are the right fit for your child - no commitment required at this stage.

Lesson Fees 

Following the introductory lesson, fees are payable in advance at the start of each half term. Payment secures your child's lesson slot for the full half-term block. By booking a place, you are committing to the full half term. Fees are non-refundable except in the case of teacher cancellation.

Term Time

 Only Lessons take place during school term time only, following the local school calendar.

Lesson Location 

Lessons are available at my home or at your home locally, depending on what works best for your family and availability.

Lesson Length 

Standard lessons are 30 minutes. Longer lessons are available if needed - just get in touch to discuss.

Missed Lessons & Cancellations 

If you are unable to attend a lesson, please let me know as soon as possible. As lesson times are reserved exclusively for each student, missed lessons are unfortunately non-refundable and non-transferable. I will always do my best to offer an alternative time where possible, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Teacher Cancellations 

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a lesson, a replacement lesson or full refund will always be offered.

Punctuality 

Please ensure your child arrives on time for their lesson. Late arrivals may result in a shortened lesson time.

Stopping Lessons 

If you wish to stop lessons, I kindly ask for at least two weeks' notice before the end of the current half term. This allows me to offer the space to another student.

Instruments 

Students are expected to have access to their own instrument at home for practice between lessons. I'm happy to offer advice on choosing a suitable instrument if needed.

General 

Parents and carers are responsible for ensuring children are dropped off and collected on time. I hold an enhanced DBS check, details of which are available on request.
